About Mark

For more than 30 years, Mark has been a pastor and leader within the Mennonite Church. He served as a Student and Young Adult Minister for Mennonite Church Eastern Canada for 11 years. He also has served as a pastor at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church and First Mennonite Church (both in Kitchener, Ontario), and he is currently pastor at St. Jacobs (Ontario) Mennonite Church. He has served on various church committees and boards, such as the Bi-National Worship Council, Rockway Mennonite Collegiate and Menno Singers.

Mark has a passion for working with youth and young adults and for making faith meaningful in our world. He has supervised several youth or young adult pastoral interns and mentored several first-time pastors.

He also has a passion for worship and congregational song and frequently leads workshops and music in larger conference worship settings. He has been a trip and spiritual guide on several spirituality canoe trips, including with intercultural pastors.

Mark’s hope is that students can integrate ordinary living and everyday experiences with spirituality and faith in ways that make sense and are authentic in our world today.
